Before installing this update

Please read this file thoroughly before you proceed with any of the installation steps.

 

This update should only be installed if you are running Microsoft Forecaster 7.0 Service Pack 3. Check your Microsoft Forecaster version by performing the steps below.

  1. Launch Microsoft Forecaster 7.0
  2. Click the Help menu, and then click About Microsoft Forecaster
  3. The About Microsoft Forecaster window will provide a release number on the second line. Confirm you are running Release 7.0.1613.13.

Issues resolved with build 7.0.1614.9

  1. 154434 – Users can now define Spread Methods to be used on the Revenue Input Tab.
  2. 338689 - The benefit definitions do not get copied by the Copy Plan Wizard when the "Benefit Definitions" checkbox is selected.
  3. 342811 – The user who submits their budget can also complete the budget after a manager approves it.
  4. 350500 - After reassigning an employee to a new department and changing a user defined benefit filter, the original benefit calculation is not removed from the multi-row screen.
  5. 350516 - Benefits are not properly capped by the annual limit if the annual limit is reached in the first HR Period.
  6. 351822 - Benefits are not calculating properly with multiple pay types.
  7. 355284 – Workflow was not read only if a specific security group was marked as read only for a given Input Set and was read only if the user was not granted access to the Input screen at all.

Microsoft Forecaster Desktop client installation steps

  1. Close all running instances of Microsoft Forecaster.
  2. Launch the FC073HF1 file from the client machine for which you want to apply the updates.
  3. Click Setup from the Self-Extractor screen to begin the deployment for the updates.
  4. Click Finish once the installation completes.

Microsoft Forecaster Web Access client installation steps

Updates for Microsoft Forecaster Web Access client machines are deployed from the Web server when the user makes their initial attempt to access Microsoft Forecaster.

  1. Close all running instances of Microsoft Forecaster.
  2. Launch the FC073HF1 file from the Web server for which you want to apply the updates.
  3. Click Setup from the Self-Extractor screen to begin the deployment for the updates.
  4. Click Finish once the installation completes.
  5. The next time the user attempts to access Microsoft Forecaster from their Web browser they will be prompted to install the updated components.

Desktop Client Rollback Steps

  1. Close all running instances of Microsoft Forecaster.
  2. Click Add or Remove Programs from the Start | Settings | Control Panel menu.
  3. Ensure the Show updates option is selected.
  4. Locate the update under the entry for Microsoft Forecaster 7.0 and click Remove

Microsoft Forecaster Web Access Rollback Steps

  1. From the Web server click Add or Remove Programs from the Start | Settings | Control Panel menu.
  2. Ensure the Show updates option is selected.
  3. Locate the update under the entry for Microsoft Forecaster 7.0 and click Remove
  4. Uninstall the Microsoft Forecaster 7.0 Web Client from each machine that connects to the Web server.
  5. The next time the user attempts to connect to the Web site configured for running Microsoft Forecaster Web Access it will prompt the user to download the required components for the machine.
  6. Select to download the client components.
