New Certification Features Teaching with Technology Mastery

Microsoft Certified Educator CertificationWhile Microsoft Certifications are established credentials that validate an educator’s Microsoft Office and technology skill sets, the Microsoft Certified Educator program is a new competency-based offering from Microsoft that demonstrates an educator’s ability to integrate technology into the classroom. Mapped to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Competency Framework for Teachers (CFT), Technology Literacy Approach, this credential does not measure technology skills, but rather the ability to apply those skills in teaching and learning contexts. The Teaching with Technology Curriculum to prepare for this Microsoft Certification is already available to IT Academy members in English and Russian.
